Central Advisory Committee (CAC) for NCC

CENTRAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE (CAC) FOR NCC

The Central Advisory Committee (CAC) for NCC has been constituted under Section 12 of the National Cadet Corp Act, 1948 for the purpose of advising the Government on matters connected with the policy and administration of NCC. The composition of CAC is as under:-

(a) Raksha Rajya Mantri - Chairman
(b) Secretary, Ministry of Defence - Ex-officio Member
(c) Secretary, Ministry of Education - Ex-officio Member
(d) Financial Advisor, Defence - Ex-officio Member
(e) Chief of the Army Staff and Commander-in-chief, Indian Army - Ex-officio Member
(f) Chief of the naval Staff and Commander-in Chief, Indian Navy - Ex-officio Member
(g) Chief of the Air Staff and Commander-in-Chief, Indian Air Force - Ex-officio Member
(h) Five non-official members to be nominated by the Central Government; and
(i) Three members of Parliament of whom two shall be elected by the House of the people and one by the Council of States.
